Lohia Auto and Other Auto Makers Push Towards Sustainability

Rising pollution levels have been a cause of concern, especially since the past few years, due to which auto makers are continuously innovating to come up with vehicles offering better fuel economy and lesser emissions. As witnessed at the Auto Expo this year, Lohia has come up with several contemporary solutions to address last mile connectivity while focusing on decreasing vehicular pollution levels. Also on showcase at this year’s expo was the Lohia Humsafar auto rickshaw boasting of a sturdy design and low operating cost.

With unique features such as a mileage of 36 kms, high loading capacity, two year warranty and low maintenance, Lohia Humsafar Cargo also brims with utilities such as a bottle holder, magazine holder, and ample advertising space. The vehicle is compact, yet has spacious seating space. The 4-mounting wheel promises stability and powerful grip on the road. The passenger cabin is fully optimized to provide extreme comfort to passengers. Also a strong build makes the vehicle sturdy and improves driver control, thus ensuring safety on the road.

Other specifications include a 436 cc engine, torque of 18 Nm and maximum speed of 50 km/hr. Humsafar Cargo has a gross weight of 950 kgs and superior suspension, ensuring extreme driver comfort. Also, a 10.5 litre fuel tank guarantees uninterrupted intra-city transport without the hassle of refuelling stopovers.

All in all, the auto rickshaw is comparable with the likes of Piaggio Ape and Bajaj RE Compact, addressing transportation needs of urban and semi-urban regions.
